Researching Skyfall

Researching Skyfall

Skyfall was marketed all over Britain through photo billboards, TV trailers and much more, throughout this research I have come across many examples of these and I will be presenting them to you while I explain how this has helped promote this movie.

·         Firstly, the film was largely promoted through photo billboards as mentioned and also the sides of buses which proved to be very beneficial for the huge blockbuster. Here are some picture examples….

·         Secondly I had stumbled across a TV interview with the skyfall star Daniel Craig on Film Four were he had promoted his film discussing the synergy between the film and Adeles single released along with the film. This was beneficial for both as fans would now merge into one group of skyfall fans.

·         In addition, there has been some merchandise based on skyfall such as Toys, Pens, Perfumes, Clothing, Champagne and much more. Here are a few images I gathered.

 TV News Stories

 ·           There were many news stories on skyfall and about its majot breakthrough of the UK Box office. The heading was ‘’Bond's Skyfall soars at US box office’’ It was estimated that James Bond's Skyfall has taken a record $87.8m (£55m) in its opening weekend at the North American box office.

-The film even managed a facebook page that promoted the film and all its stars.

In addition to this they had planned and presented all the events that were going to take place in order to promoter the film, this gave chance for the fans to meet the stars Etc.

Skyfall (2012) is the twenty-third spy film in the James Bond series, produced by Eon Productions and distributed by MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment. It features Daniel Craig's third performance as James Bond, and Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, the film's villain. The film was directed by Sam Mendes and written by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

It was showing at nearly all the cinemas in the UK and a special thing about this film was that it was first shown in the UK not America which saves the british people dignity as this film is strictly British.
