Swede Planning

Planning our swede!
After researching a couple of movies to spoof we discussed the factors a movie must contain in order to make it successful and also funny, We realised that the story line must be simple to follow as well as actually plan and do. Furthermore we decided to go with the film scarface as it was a classic hit that still remains an original film with a simple outline to it.  We had revised on the many camera angle techniques and editing shots to create and give meaning to our film and assigned different characters to each person of the group of 4.
In addition, as the project came to the actual filming we decided to get our props. We had purchased some toy guns and a wig for one of the female characters. We done this to create a much more professional side to our swede.
We then came to an understanding that it must be specifically around 3 minutes long and we had to choose which scenes out of the famous film we should use and had come to a group decision of various scenes that we as a group agreed according to how well it creates meaning and sense to the viewers.

PDME

PDME of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY!!
PRODUCTION:
There are many stages involved when producing a film, these are the following..
·         Pre-production when the film crew prepare to make the film
·         Production when the crew assemble the film and start recording
·         Post production where the film is edited amongst things like effects and sounds
In paranormal activity started Attempting to focus on believability rather than action and gore, Peli chose to shoot the picture with a home video camera. In deciding on a more raw and stationary format (the camera was almost always sitting on a tripod or something else) and eliminating the need for a camera crew, a "higher degree of plausibility" was created for the audience as they were "more invested in the story and the characters". Peli says that the dialogue was "natural" because there was no real script. Instead, the actors were given outlines of the story and situations to improvise, a technique known as "retroscripting" used in the making of The Blair Witch Project. In casting the movie, Peli auditioned "a few hundred people" before finally meeting Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat. He originally auditioned them individually and later called them back to audition together. Peli was impressed with the chemistry between the actors, saying, "If you saw the [audition] footage, you would've thought they had known each other for years.
The film was shot out of sequence due to Peli's self-imposed seven day shooting schedule, though Peli would have preferred the story unfold for the actors as he had envisioned it. Sloat, who controlled the camera for a good deal of the film, was a former cameraman at his university's TV station. "It was a very intense week", Peli recalled, stating that the film would be shot day and night, edited at the same time, and would have the visual effects applied to it as the acting footage was being finalized.
DISTRIBUTION:
The film reaches the audience in many ways some choose to watch at home online through fee paying others decide to opt for the illegal option of a free download of a pirate copy, Also the obvious and most popular way is through certainly cinema.
MARKETING:
Paranormal Activity was released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 29, 2009. And film marketing is actually very simple as posters and visual advertisments make it possible for the audience to access thesevisuals

EXHIBITION:
Today we interact and engage with media in all sorts of ways but with a film it is important that the film has great levels of acting as well as excellent camera performances. Simple shots like over shoulder shots lead the audience to connote many things and using the in trailers can prove to be highly efficient. n

Planning for your own swede

Planning for your own swede

In order to create our swede of Scarface we had to plan various factors. For example we knew we could only shoot a certain amount of scenes from the film so we came together as a group and made an agreement on which scenes were the most important and decided they would be the ones we shoot. Next we had to plan which props we will need in order to shoot our scenes. We decided to use flour as cocaine and used plastic guns for weapons. As we also have a blonde women in the scenes we also used a blonde wig and a pair of shades to dress as a women. After we gathered all our ideas and props we began shooting our very own swede.
